Anne Logston

Anne was born in the Heartwood of rural southern Indiana, where she gathered the seeds of all her stories and began her first novel (a magnum opus which reached four hand-printed pages: “Stormy, the Bravest Elephant”) at the age of six. She dabbled in legal secretarial work and scoping until her first book Shadow was accepted for publication, whereupon she dropped out of society to write, doing part-time editing while spending the other 23 hours a day submerged in the history of Allanmere.

Today Anne lives in the same little house in the woods. She hides from civilization at the end of a dirt road with her extraordinarily patient husband, two dogs, two cats, one snake, an over-ambitious permaculture garden and a whole host of mischievous land spirits. At home, she rambles through the woods and talks to pets, wild animals, land spirits, and book characters, and spends ridiculous amounts of time writing. She plans on writing forever.

She is the author of eleven published books: Shadow, Shadow Hunt, Shadow Dance, Dagger’s Edge, Dagger’s Point, Greendaughter, Exile, Wildblood, Guardian’s Key, Firewalk and Waterdance.
